CATHERINE COOCH 

​

CATHERINE COOCH is from Fairfax, VA and began dancing at age three. Ms. Cooch studied modern, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and contemporary. She also trained at Maryland Youth Ballet under Michelle Lees. In May 2013, Ms. Cooch received a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College under the direction of Katie Langan, where she performed works by Loni Landon, Maxine Steinman and Anthony Ferro. Ms. Cooch joined RIOULT Dance NY in 2013.

NICK CAMARERO

 

Nick Camarero is a native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania and started dancing at age 3. Nick recently graduated from Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Dance. Nick has worked closely alongside and performed works by Jenn Freeman, Mary Ann Lamb, Micaela Taylor, David Parsons, Martha Graham, Cameron McKinney. He has also attended training programs including Orsolina28 Goecke/Kylian Repertory intensive, GALLIM, Ballet Hispanico Choreolab, and Peridance Blueprint. Recently, Nick has performed Christopher Huggins ‘Anointed’ at Aaron Davis Hall with Opus Dance Theatre. Nick is so excited to be joining RIOULT Dance NY on his first international tour!

CHARIS HAINES 

​

CHARIS HAINES is originally from Carpinteria, CA. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BFA in Dance, where she received the Alice Condodina Performance Award upon graduation. In NYC, Ms. Haines has performed with Wendy Osserman, Silver-Brown Dance, Jessica Gaynor Dance, Katherine Howard, Sue Hogan, and Lux Dance. She is a teaching artist wtih RIOULT’s DanceREACH program and is also a certified Pilates instructor. Ms. Haines was first introduced to the company while working at The Joyce Theater as the Assistant House Manager. She joined RIOULT Dance NY in 2007.

JERE HUNT

​

JERE HUNT is a native of Huntsville, AL, holds a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College. While there, he performed works by David Parsons, Christopher d’Amboise, Martha Graham, Molissa Fenley, Edgar Zendejas, and others. Mr. Hunt was an apprentice with the Alabama Ballet under the direction of Wes Chapman. In NYC, he has worked with Veracity Dance Theatre, SYREN Modern Dance, and DeMa Dance. He also had the privilege of staging Pascal Rioult’s Bolero at Adelphi University. Mr. Hunt joined RIOULT Dance NY in 2010.

CORINNA LEE NICHOLSON

​

Corinna Lee Nicholson is originally from Houston, Texas. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University, receiving her BFA in Dance Performance with an award for Outstanding Achievement. Corinna has performed with Paul Taylor 2 Dance Company, Amy Marshall Dance Company, Mazzini Dance Collective, Tabula Rasa Dance Theater, and TAKE Dance. She joined RIOULT Dance NY in 2015.

JUSTIN RAINEY

​

Raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas, he began his formal training at University of Oklahoma where he had the honor of performing works by George Balanchine, Alejandro Cerrudo, Merce Cunningham, Austin Hartel, and Tommie-Waheed Evans. Upon completing his studies in 2020, Justin joined NWA Ballet Theatre for one season. Justin then worked with Dance Kaleidoscope under David Hochoy and performed masterworks like Carmina Burana. After relocating to New York, Justin has worked for Nimbus Dance, Site Specific Dance, Cold Springs Dance Company and guested with the Paul Taylor Dance Company.  â€‹

SARA E. SEGER 

​​

Originally from New Jersey, Ms. Seger began her dance training at the North Jersey School of Dance Arts. Ms. Seger attended all four years of high school at UNCSA. Sara joined RIOULT Dance NY in 2011 and created and performed several original roles including the title role of Cassandra in “Cassandra’s Curse” (2016). Since the pandemic Sara has continued working as a freelance artist with various companies and choreographers including the Mark Morris Dance Group, Battery Dance Company, The Chase Brock Experience, and Robert Mark Dance. Ms. Seger continues to be a Repetiteur and rehearsal assistant for Pascal Rioult. Sara graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary’s College: The LEAP Program in 2020, and currently resides in Sunnyside, Queens with her husband (a former RIOULT dancer) and their dog Dunkin. Sara is absolutely thrilled to be bringing these RIOULT works back to life and owes everything to her family for supporting her love of dance!

SABATINO A. VERLEZZA  

​

SABATINO A. VERLEZZA grew up in Shaker Heights, OH. He received a BFA in Dance from Kent State University, where he graduated summa cum laude with honors from the National Honors Society for Dance Arts. While at Kent State, he also sat on the Board of the National Dance Education Organization. He began his dance education at the Cleveland San Jose Ballet/Cleveland School of Dance and continued his training with Nancy Lushington and his parents Barbara and Sabatino Verlezza. He has performed multiple works by May O’Donnell and is a certified teacher of the O’Donnell technique. Mr. Verlezza joined RIOULT Dance NY in 2012.

KATHARINE RYGIEL (Apprentice)    

​

KATHARINE RYGIEL, originally from Largo, FL, attended the Miami City Ballet School where she performed works by George Balanchine, Marius Petipa, and August Bournonville. In May of 2017, she graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University with a BFA in Dance Performance, Outstanding Achievement, and a BA in English. At SMU Ms. Rygiel danced works of Martha Graham, Adam Hougland, Joshua L. Peugh, and others. She performed in the Dallas Dance Festival and the NEXT@Graham festival in NYC. Ms. Rygiel joined RIOULT Dance NY in 2017.
